Description
The AIR Avionics ACD-57 Air Control Display is a compact, multifunction avionics panel unit that combines COM radio control, Mode-S/ADS-B transponder control, and a fully ETSO-certified primary altimeter — all in a single 57mm display head. Designed for gliders, light aircraft, helicopters, and motor gliders, the ACD-57 delivers exceptional readability, intuitive controls, and broad compatibility with leading avionics systems.
Compatible with a Wide Range of Radios & Transponders
The ACD-57 is designed to work with a broad range of COM and transponder systems, including:
- AIR COM radio module and VT-01 transponder (AIR Avionics)
- uAvionix and TRIG transponders (add-on function, subject to charge)
- BECKER 62XX compact radio series
- FUNKE ATR 833 and TRIG TY-9x radios
- TQ Avionics radio product line
Radios and transponders are remotely installed in the aircraft and connected via cable. The AIR COM module can connect directly to the back of the display. Where a connected radio has its own controls, these can be deactivated to save power or used simultaneously — ideal for tandem-seater aircraft.
Industry-Leading 57mm Display
The ACD-57 features the largest display area available in a 57mm control head. Its high-contrast colour screen is perfectly readable in direct sunlight while drawing minimal power. The unit has been developed and tested to strict aviation standards for multifunction displays.
Certified Primary Altimeter
As an optional add-on function, the ACD-57 becomes a fully ETSO-certified primary altimeter — displaying altitude in large, easy-to-read figures with excellent reliability, even in high-vibration environments such as helicopters and motor gliders. The altimeter function can run in parallel with COM and/or transponder control, saving valuable panel space without sacrificing readability or redundancy.
ADS-B Out Ready
The ACD-57's integrated encoding altimeter enables connected transponders to transmit precise pressure altitude for ADS-B Out compliance.
Multi-Display Support
For larger panels or tandem configurations, multiple ACD-57 units can control a single radio or transponder simultaneously. All displays are connected via CANaerospace bus and kept perfectly in sync at all times.
